When: Saturday, December 7, 4:30 PM-6:30 PM
Where: The Chocolate With Geoseph Tasting Room at 6600 Davand Drive, Unit 1, Mississauga, ON. L5T 2M3
Who: All are welcome! From novice to expert. Best for those who enjoy exploring the flavours of fine foods & love learning about their food.
The Host: Professional chocolate sommelier, chocolatier, and maker: Geoseph. With over 15 years in the fine chocolate industry. Learn more at www.geoseph.com
We will pair 5 samples of craft chocolate bars with 2 different fine teas. The chocolates will include some single-origin bars, and some flavoured bars. We will analayze the chocolates first on their own, and then pair them with the teas and discuss how they interact. The tea will include two unflavoured chinese origin teas (such as white Peony, Ooolong, Pureh, or other). You'll receive plenty of guidance, tasting tips, information on the chocolate, and room for questions.
The session will be interactive, so feedback and questions are encouraged. The start time is 4:30 PM because it is best to come to a tasting hungry, and have your supper afterwards. Being full dims our ability to appreciate the flavour of foods. It will run for about 90 minutes, with time afterwards for questions, purchasing bars, and mingling.
All food/drink will be dairy-free (vegan), and free of gluten, nuts, and soy. But keep in mind I cannot guarantee no traces of these or other ingredients. Chocolate is made with cacao from ethical sources, and go beyond Fairtrade standards.
I ask that you be on-time, or call/text if you are running late. Also please do not wear any perfumes or odours, as this will impede yours and others ability to detect the fine flavours.
